SANTA MARIA -The Santa Maria was a typical merchant vessel of the 15th century. On September 9, 1492 Christopher Columbus set sail from the Canaries in search of the westerly sea route to India on a voyage. Had 100 tons a crew of 52.
BOUNTY - The ship had been purchased by the Royal Navy for a single mission in support of an experiment: the acquisition of breadfruit plants from Tahiti, and the transportation of those plants to the West Indies in the hope that they would grow.
CUTTY SHARK - Cutty Sark is a British clipper ship. Built on the River Clyde in 1869 for the Jock Willis Shipping Line, she was one of the last tea clippers to be built and one of the fastestThe maximum logged speed for Cutty Sark was 17.5 knots 32.4 km.
HMS Victory is a 104-gun first-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, ordered in 1758, laid down in 1759 and launched in 1765. She is best known for her role as Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar on 21 October 1805.
